Ironman legend Normann Stadler begins a new chapter at Aero Performance Lab

Twenty years after his last victory in Hawaii, Normann Stadler is preparing for a remarkable return to Kona. No longer as a professional chasing another world title, but as an age grouper with the same passion for the sport that has always driven him. A comeback like this doesn't begin on the start line – it starts much earlier. That's why the German triathlon legend visited Aero Performance Lab.

A successful preparation starts with a thorough analysis. Together with our experts, Stadler's riding position was carefully assessed with one clear objective: to find the most efficient and comfortable position for the long training sessions and races that lie ahead.

From assessment to the perfect position

A professional bike fit is about much more than adjusting the handlebar or saddle by a few millimetres. Every session follows a comprehensive process, starting with an intake interview and a full body and flexibility assessment. This is followed by foot measurements, precise cleat adjustments and an analysis of the rider's current position on the bike.

Using advanced measuring technology and a dynamic bike test, our specialists search for the ideal balance between comfort, efficiency and aerodynamics. Components such as crank length, handlebar width and saddle choice are also carefully evaluated. The result is a detailed bike fit report that enables every rider to start training in the best possible position.

A long-term partnership

For Aero Performance Lab, supporting Normann Stadler goes far beyond a single bike fit. Over the coming months, we will continue to work closely with him as he prepares for his return to Kona. As his training load increases and his body adapts once again to spending long hours in the time trial position, both his riding position and equipment will continue to be refined.
