A world title doesn't just happen. It's the result of talent, dedication, and preparation. Earlier this year, young Dutch talent Megan Arens came to Aero Performance Lab with a clear goal: to perfect her time trial position in the wind tunnel. She was introduced to us by her manager, David van der Poel, and worked on fine-tuning her posture, arm and shoulder position, and finding the right balance between aerodynamics and comfort. Yesterday, we saw how these efforts came together in an impressive performance.

Difficult conditions in Rwanda
The course in Rwanda was tough and demanding. The riders had to deal with high temperatures and significant elevation gain. The course featured numerous turns and technical sections that required varying speed and rhythm. At the end of the time trial, there was a challenging cobbled climb where further differences could have been made. Megan rode a consistent time trial and managed to use her speed efficiently, while other riders lost time due to the conditions.

A dominant victory
At the intermediate point, Megan had a two-second lead, ultimately finishing 35 seconds ahead of her closest pursuer after a very strong final section. This earned her the rainbow jersey and also demonstrates that targeted preparation and optimizing your time trial position can make a significant difference. For us at Aero Performance Lab, it's special to have played a role in this success story!
We congratulate Megan on this fantastic achievement and wish her the best of luck in the road race next Saturday!
